How it works
VP3 is a rich, structured format. Besides stitches it stores, for every color block, the thread color as RGB together with the thread brand, code and name, which makes it one of the best formats for keeping color information.
A single VP3 file can contain several designs placed in one hoop, and it records the hoop the design was created for.
VP3 replaced older formats such as HUS, SHV, VIP and the PCS family. Current Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff machines read VP3 directly; many still read HUS too.

Watch out for
- Very old Viking and Pfaff machines cannot read VP3; use HUS or PCS for those.
