When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26). Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026.

Amazon no longer keeps its Black Friday sale to a single day. In recent years the event has started around the week before Thanksgiving and run through Cyber Monday, with new deals added every day. Expect early Black Friday deals to show up in mid-November 2026.

What usually gets the biggest discounts

Amazon devices (Echo speakers, Fire TV sticks, Kindle e-readers, Ring and Blink cameras) are traditionally among the deepest discounts of the year, often 40% to 60% off.

Headphones and earbuds, TVs, robot vacuums, air fryers, coffee makers, small kitchen appliances, power tools and toys also see strong price drops, because brands use Black Friday to clear inventory before the holidays.

Big-ticket items like laptops and phones get discounts too, but they vary more by model. Compare the deal price with the price over the last few months before you buy.

How to shop Amazon Black Friday like a pro

Make a short list before the sale starts and add the items to your Amazon cart or wish list, so you can see price changes at a glance.

Check for an on-page coupon (the orange "Apply coupon" checkbox under the price). It stacks with the sale price and is easy to miss.

Lightning Deals sell out or expire fast. If a Lightning Deal is on something you were already planning to buy, do not wait.

Many deals are for Prime members only. A free trial counts, so you can sign up before the sale and cancel later if you do not want to keep it.

Is Black Friday really the cheapest time to buy?

For most electronics, Amazon devices, toys and kitchen appliances, yes: Black Friday and Cyber Monday are usually the lowest prices of the year, together with Prime Day in July.

For other things, like winter clothing, patio furniture or TVs from last year, prices can be even lower at the end of the season. A real deal is a price below what the product normally sells for, not a big crossed-out "list price".
