The best time to buy on Amazon: a month-by-month guide
Updated October 28, 2026
When prices are lowest on Amazon for electronics, appliances, toys, clothing and more, from Prime Day in July to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The two biggest sales of the year
Prime Day (usually in July) and the Black Friday to Cyber Monday week (late November) bring the lowest prices of the year on Amazon devices, headphones, TVs, kitchen appliances and home tech.
Amazon also runs a second Prime event in October with prices close to Prime Day.
Month by month
January: fitness gear, TVs (before the Super Bowl), bedding and storage. February: TVs and winter clothing clearance.
March and April: vacuums, spring cleaning, gardening tools. May: mattresses (Memorial Day) and outdoor gear.
July: Prime Day, the best time for almost everything electronic. August: back-to-school laptops, tablets and office supplies.
September: last year's phones and grills. October: the fall Prime event and early holiday deals.
November: Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the top time for toys, gifts and electronics. December: last-minute deals and gift cards.
Do not wait for a sale you do not need
If you need something now and the price is already at or near its usual low, waiting a few weeks to save a few dollars is rarely worth it. EmbroidHub posts deals every day, so a good price is never far away.
Frequently asked questions
What day of the week is cheapest on Amazon?
There is no fixed cheapest day. Amazon changes prices constantly, so watching a product and buying when it drops is better than waiting for a specific weekday.
Is Prime Day better than Black Friday?
They are very close. Prime Day is often slightly better for Amazon devices, and Black Friday is better for toys and gifts.
